HCG Gorge Days Explained

A few people are confused over the two hCG gorge days at the beginning of phase 2 of the hCG diet protocol. I will attempt to make things a little bit clearer in this post.

When you start phase 2 of the diet, you begin to take the hCG weight loss drops the first day of the gorge. During the gorge, you may eat all the fatty foods that you can stand to eat. You will take 10 drops or 4 pellets three times a day, once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once before dinner. The hCG weight loss drops should be taken 30 minutes before each meal and you should not drink or eat anything 15 minutes before taking the drops and up to meal time.

Eat anything you want for the first two days, however, I will have to warn you against eating just sugar foods, because they will leave you feeling hungry the first week of the hCG Diet. I am not saying not to eat sugar, but try to eat more of the fatty foods and only moderate amounts of sugar.

The purpose of the gorge days is to make sure that your body has enough healthy fat on hand to get through the very low calorie phase without causing any damage to your organs. It also gives you a good full feeling too. Don’t worry about the few extra pounds you will gain on the gorge days, they will drop off on day 4 or 5 of the diet. It is not uncommon to hear people drop 4 to 7 pounds in the first few days. By day two it will be harder for you to eat as much because the hCG will have started working and it will suppress your appetite.

On day three of the hCG diet, you start the very low calorie phase. You take the drops in the morning and do not eat breakfast. Only two meals a day until the end of phase 2. You also take the drops before lunch and dinner. Follow the diet outline on the hCG Diet Protocol page.

Another common question about the gorge days is that if I do the hCG Diet again, do I have to follow the gorge days again? The answer is yes, just wait 6 weeks after completing phase 2 and you can start it all over again. This is for people who have a lot of weight to lose. You can repeat the diet as many times as you desire to do so. You will start phase 2 again and do the two gorge days during each round.

    I am not a huge eater as it is…but I still have the extra tire around my waist and extra chins…How do know if I am “gorging” enough on the first 2 days?

    all of this gorging stuff had me confused, following this certain diet is indeed confusing at times, there are lots of things i need to follow. thanks to this article though, it made me realize how to fully execute the needed steps for the dietary program to have its effects on me.

    I am concluding day 2 and in 13 hours today I gained 7.6 lbs, and yesterday 4lbs…that 11.6 lbs in 2 days…do you think I ate enough??? ha ha ha (I am so full I can hardly stand it)

    I am on day 2 of phase2 and am hungry, like stomach growling and i was walking around my yard doing some things and i started to get shaky, so i came in and ate a salad. I felt as though i ate a lot of stuff on phase one, will this get better or am i doomed and should i stop wait a while and start again??? need some guidance!!

    Reading about day 3 in your posting, it says on day 3 to not eat breakfast. I can find nothing in the plan description that states that. Where is it so I can be sure I’m following the plan correctly? Also, where can I read more about what cosmetics are allowed and exact foods (green salad ?)?

    I’m starting the diet next week and my job is fast paced…should I up the calorie intake to 800 maybe add an extra fruit or something?

      Try to follow the diet as outlined. If you find yourself hungry, add extra drops to your hCG dose or increase your protein intake. Increasing your calorie intake can slow the weight loss process.
