I ended had my last dose of HCG on the day my period my started. I am not sure what weight I should use as my set point. I lost about .8lb from the last does of HCG to the following day (still on VLCD) then it went back to the weight from the last dose, which was also the first day of my TOM. What do I consider my set weight?

I would like to try Hcg, but I'm having trouble finding out the source of the hormone. I assume pregnant women are not donating it. Where does it come from?

How can I lose more per day on the HCG diet? This is the second time I am doing it and I only lost 16 lbs for 23 days. I followed the diet to the T. Now I am on day six HCG and vlcd4 and have lost 4lbs. Is that less than what I should lose?

Once you stop taking HCG drops, you will need to stay on the 500 calorie diet for three days, After the three days the HCG will have exited your body. For the following three week period, you are to avoid eating sugar or starches. You will eat around a 2000 calorie diet, more if you work out or play sports hard. The object is to stay within 2 pounds above or below the last weight you recorded while still taking HCG.

Phase 3 is the part of the diet that we try to keep everything within two pounds either up or down from your final weigh in on the last day you took the hcg drops. This six week period is where we teach your body a new weight set point, it we can hold the weight their steady, our body will try to keep that new weight. Normally, if we are a little bit off, the body will try to adjust to the new weight. This doesn't mean that we can eat anything we want, we still need to eat healthy and exercise. ( No exercising during phase 2, walking OK). After this six weeks, we need to eat the right amount of calories for our body type.

If you still have more weight to lose, you can restart the diet over again after the six week period. Also, Julia, you don't have to start phase 3 until you have done phase 2 for 21 to 42 days. If you try to lose weight during phase 3, your body will not establish the new set point and you will gain it back as soon as you stop the diet, your body will try to restore the old weight instead. Don't skip phase 3.

I have read TONs on the HCG diet and still need an answer for one thing? I keep hearing you cant go above or BELOW 2 pounds during phase three. Why cant I continue to lose weight in phase three if I want to? I am pretty slim already and wanted to lose 10-15 pounds (15 would be super lean). But bc of that I predict that I will only lose 10 pounds TOTAL by the end of phase 2. I think I may want to lose an additional 3-5 after that and it doesn't make sense for me to do another round. So why cant I do phase 3 diet correctly and exercise 4-5 days per week if I want to lose a little more? I don't want to mess up so any explanation would be appreciated! thx!

What is the harm in going from the 500 calorie phase straight into the 1500 calorie phase without stopping the drops for 3 days prior to the change?
